I painted this to prove a point. I did it to shock people.
This was my first concentration piece for my ap art class. A concentration is a group of 12 pieces that revolve around the same subject. My subject is identity. This piece is about sexual identity.
The subject of this photo is one of my best friends. He is gay. Openly. But he struggled with his identity for years before coming out. Finally he realized who he was and put himself out for the world to see. This is how I see it.
